Reflection:I found this easy because I used the ingredients they used to write. I learnt some information about ice cream. The interesting thing I learnt was you use salt in the ice to cool it down quicker.

Character Profile
W.A.L.T write a character profile.The best part of this is that my kid pix picture was challenging because some times I rubbed out the wrong things. I choose Mud Wiggle because he was easy to remember in the text. Mud Wiggle had a little part in the story.

I am learning to identify and describe what the author wanted me to feel, think about or see.
Success Criteria.
I will know I have been successful when:
- I can identify what I think the author’s purpose might be
- I can identify the big idea or message/s in the story through character actions or events
- I can describe the thoughts, feelings and actions in the story and link it to author purpose
- I can find evidence in the text to support my thinking, feelings and observations
- I can identify how the illustrations help to get the author’s message across
I found this tricky because you had to tell the authors purpose
My next step for me is to put the book next to me when I write about it and to look at the success criteria.
